CRANSTON, RI, OCTOBER 5, 2007 – Swarovski, the world leader in cut crystal, proudly announces the opening of its retail store in Stamford Town Center, Stamford, Connecticut. The 370 square foot store is slated to be open for business on October 19, 2007. Swarovski's retail ventures are part of an aggressive brand building effort.

"As Swarovski's audience continues to grow, so does the need for product accessibility," says Kevin Coen, Executive Vice President, Swarovski North America Ltd. "Retail stores allow us to cater to our loyal consumers, as well as expand our audience. We plan to continue to develop this aspect of our business."

Melissa Carden, Brand Communication Manager of Swarovski North America Ltd., affirms, "Seeing the entire collection together makes for a very impressive display and allows us to demonstrate the depth of our product line."

The Swarovski store offers a variety of products from each of its lines, including:
* Swarovski Jewelry and Accessories -- A line of opulent crystal jewelry using pave settings and colored stones for day-into-night dressing. The collection includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pins, rings, watches, handbags, wallets and key chains.

Swarovski opened its first two stores simultaneously at Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts and Beachwood Place of Beachwood, Ohio in November 1997. Since then, additional retail locations have been added, with the Stamford Town Center store serving as the 134th store in the company's rapidly growing retail segment.

For more than a hundred years Swarovski, the Austrian family company based in Wattens in the Tyrol, has been the world's leading brand for cut crystal. Crystal jewelery stones and crystalline semi-finished goods for the fashion, jewelery and lighting industries are as much a part of the company's product range as gift articles, home accessories, and collectibles fashioned from faceted crystal. Swarovski's artistic and design abilities are evident in Daniel Swarovski Paris and Swarovski Jewelery, the company's accessory and jewelery ranges. Since 1995 visitors have been able to enjoy the ultimate crystal experience at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. The Swarovski group also includes Tyrolit, which produces grinding tools and abrasives, and Swarovski Optik, the company's optics division, with its precision optics for hunting and nature observation. In 2005 Swarovski achieved group sales of Euro 2.14 billion with a total of approximately 17.000 employees.
